Several subsidiaries of Johnson & Johnson, a pharmaceuticals leviathan, were among the companies that revealed layoff plans to the state labor agency: Auris Health, a surgical robotics firm, is cutting 292 positions, including 223 in Redwood City and 69 in Santa Clara.Verb Surgical, a maker of medical equipment, is laying off 47 people in Santa Clara.
