Nakuru residents celebrated a unique wedding as a deaf couple, Thomas Mamisu and Grace Wanjiru, exchanged vows in a Catholic Church wedding ceremony.
The event, attended by close family and friends, was highlighted by the use of a sign language interpreter as they tied the knot
The couple, who met while working in Nakuru, are now beginning their life together, and their parents gave them their blessingmarried"Who knew my daughter Grace would find a husband and have such a beautiful wedding? God has indeed blessed her today," the bride's dad said."He was not born deaf. He developed a hearing impairment when he was seven years old. I am really happy that he has found himself a wife. He will be happy," his mother said.
