Five people will spend years in federal prison for their roles in the armed robberies at two Montgomery cell phone stores, according to United State Attorney Jonathan S. Ross.

Staci Gilbert, Devontae Gentry, Jaylan Bledson and Devon Bledson were arrested in Chilton County in May 2023. Antonio Provo, not pictured, was not among those arrested in the chase but was later connected to the armed robberies. MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Five people will spend years in federal prison for their roles in the armed robberies at two Montgomery cell phone stores, according to United States Attorney Jonathan S. Ross.

“Combatting violent crime is a top priority for this office,” said U.S. Attorney Ross. “The use of firearms to commit crimes shows a complete disregard for the safety and well-being of community members. This case is yet another example of the good work that results from law enforcement agencies coming together to bring to justice violent individuals.

On April 16, 2024, Devontae Gentry, 31, received a 20-year prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to committing interference with interstate commerce by robbery. On March 28, 2024, Jaylan Subry Bledson, 19, received a prison sentence of more than 7 year after pleading guilty to committing interference with interstate commerce by robbery and brandishing a firearm during a federal crime of violence.
