Fried: The only people that have been socialists are the Republican Party. How much of the $6 trillion [in Trump erainitiatives] that was printed last year went to corporations with no strings attached? The other aspect is reminding—which doesn’t have to be a lot of reminding to the Hispanic community that are coming from . . . Venezuela or Colombia or Cuba—that they were leaving corrupt government regimes, and when they come here to the state of Florida they're experiencing the same thing.
Forbes: You and many other Democrats blasted Gov. Ron DeSantis for lifting coronavirus restrictions far earlier than almost all other states. Yet Florida ranks 19th in cases per capita and is actually in the bottom half in deaths per capita from Covid-19, far lower than states that had much tighter lockdowns, while most businesses have also been able to stay open for almost all of the pandemic.
