LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte – The province of Ilocos Norte reported no damage from the magnitude-6.3 earthquake that rocked extreme Northern Luzon on Tuesday night, September 12.
However, the Office of Civil Defense said on Wednesday, September 13, that five people were reported injured due to a wall that collapsed following the earthquake in Dalupiri Island in Calayan town, Cagayan province.
"No families/persons are currently being catered to inside or outside evacuation centers. No major damage or infrastructures are reported as of this time," the OCD said. The agency said it has yet to receive reports of fatalities from the tremor but recorded at least 100 aftershocks as of 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Ilocos Norte PDRRMO Officer Marcel Tabiji said that local DRRMOs are moving around their areas to assess all structures for damage.
