Dead and neglected horses were recently discovered in Ontario County, and now, two men are charged with animal cruelty in separate cases.

Many observe pastures from afar, filled with horses running through fields. Unfortunately, the Ontario County Humane Society says nine horses saw nothing but years of neglect. "These horses were standing in between three and five feet of feces," Koczent continued. "There was not appropriate water or food nearby, and based on the hooves of these horses, they had not received appropriate care for a number of months or years.""Obviously, standing in that amount of feces, the horse can not ambulate properly, and having the hooves not cared for also creates ambulatory issues," said Koczent.
