Austin Democrat Greg Casar says they missed a chance to push border agenda and dispel Fox-fed misconceptions.
Casar said the Republicans missed a rare opportunity to break the ice with the president, dispel misperceptions shaped by Fox News, and rub elbows with cabinet members and senior White House advisers – relationships that could help them serve constituents, regardless of gaping political differences. He shared his views on abortion rights and immigration, and his GOP colleagues could have done the same if they’d come, he said.
