Van Delden solicited the five to invest an unspecified amount in the Rim clinic, which they say was supposed to be exclusively run by “board-certified emergency care doctors.” The Texas Medical Board’s website shows Van Delden has no board certification specialties, but the plaintiffs say he represented to them that he was board-certified in emergency medicine.
