As shops have opened and closed so often recently, particularly around the High Street, we have pulled together five upcoming openings you might have missed.
You can look forward to these businesses coming it Watford and the surrounding area this year, although some are only rumoured and not officially confirmed.TK Maxx says it has been “working round the clock” to get its new Watford store ready ahead of its summer opening. The retailer, which offers clothing, accessories, homeware and beauty products, confirmed on January 26 that it will move into the former Next unit opposite M&S in atria Watford.The budget supermarket submitted plans in October, last year, for the World of Water site in Watford Road, near Hunton Bridge.
However, Hertfordshire County Council has highlighted what it calls “fundamental issues” and recommended against granting planning permission as it was initially submitted. The proposal is still pending consideration and, most recently, new access plans were submitted in on April 21.Footasylum, which first opened in 2006, has more than 60 stores in the UK and is apparently preparing to open another in the third quarter of 2023.While this one isn’t set in stone, a planning application for a sign outside an atria Watford unit strongly suggests the bubble tea business is set to open in the town this year.
