Police in Fort Worth arrested five people this past weekend in connection to a street takeover and chase. Police said the five are linked to the chaotic takeover that occurred in Austin in February.

According to Fort Worth police, officers received a call about “hotrodders” about 10:30 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of North Beach Street and North Tarrant Parkway. When police activated lights and sirens, the driver of the Challenger took off, and a high-speed chase ensued. Police monitored the Challenger with a helicopter as well.
The driver of the Challenger then pulled into a gas station and the occupants of the car fled on foot. They then jumped into a Dodge Charger and the chase began again.
