The earthquake struck 15 kilometers northeast of the coastal town of Maconacon and had a depth of 42 km.Intensities were felt in Penablanca and Tuguegarao City in Cagayan , Batac in Ilocos Norte , and Pasuquin, Bacarra, and Laoag City in Ilocos Norte .
Intensity IV was felt in Gonzaga in Cagayan; Intensity III in the City of Ilagan in Isabela, and Intensity II in Casiguran, Aurora; Pasuquin, Batac, and Laoag, Ilocos Norte; Vigan City in Ilocos Sur; Santiago City; Bangued, Abra; Baler, Aurora; Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, and Bayombong in Nueva Vizcaya.
