A fourth suspect in the Oct. 4 mass shooting in downtown Montgomery has been arrested, according to the Montgomery Police Department.

Kemontae Hood , 21, is charged with capital murder, nine counts of first degree assault, and three counts of second degree assault. He was arrested Friday and is currently being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.

From the start, we’ve used every resource and partnership available to find those who chose violence over life — and we’re not finished yet. I thank the Montgomery Police Department and our local, state, and federal partners for their persistence and teamwork. Their efforts prove that violence will not define our city or go unanswered.
