Over his college career, Pearsall posted 159 catches for 2,420 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was also used as a punt returner in college, something that NFL teams loved about him entering the draft.When the 49ers selected him, he was viewed as the potential replacement for star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk but Aiyuk has since signed a massive extension to remain in San Francisco. He should still be a key piece to the 49ers this season if he can fully recover from this incident.
