49ers Mitch Wishnowsky on COVID-19 list, teammates deemed `close contacts’ have passed their tests, according to coach Kyle Shanahan.

SANTA CLARA — COVID-19 finally pierced the 49ers’ protected environment at their club facility, although not nearly to the degree of their Week 17 opponent.

Forty-Niners coach Kyle Shanahan was cautiously optimistic the 49ers’ cases will begin and end with Wishnowsky. Shanahan said the protocols “have eased up a little bit” so Wishnowsky is not necessarily out of action. The 49ers will be looking at punters in the meantime.
