Defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw will miss at least six consecutive games now that the 49ers placed him on injured reserve Saturday, along with cornerback Emmanuel Moseley.
ATLANTA — Defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw’s oft-injured 49ers career is on indefinite hold.
Kinlaw underwent surgery a year ago to repair his anterior cruciate ligament, and after starting the first three games this season, he was shut down the past two wins before now getting ruled out for at least another four on the IR list. Kinlaw was the 49ers’ top draft pick in 2020 and he’s missed 17 of the past 24 games with knee trouble.
Thus, at least five and possibly more defensive starters are out for the 49ers’ top-ranked defense Sunday.
