San Francisco 49ers All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey has a calf strain that will cause him to miss multiple weeks of practice according to 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan. McCaffrey also held a knack for finding the end zone in 2023, recording a rushing and/or receiving touchdown through the first eight games of the season.McCaffrey began the streak the season before, and ended up breaking 49ers legend Jerry Rice's franchise record for the most consecutive games with a touchdowns from scrimmage. He also tied Lenny Moore for the NFL record of 17 consecutive games with a touchdown from scrimmage, including the postseason.
