because it'll take you on a journey across North America without you ever having to leave your home .. Players work to build a continuous railway across America. The game is well constructed and is meant to last a lifetime. My mother who is in her 60s enjoys it as much as my 10-year-old. There is luck involved in play, however, strategy is much more important. The game dynamic changes significantly with different numbers of players.
All in all, a beautifully made game that is fun, and doesn't lead to hurt feelings on the part of the loser.
