Over 430,000 vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz and Lincoln, are the latest group of automobiles facing recalls, as well as Volkswagen vehicles that could have an increased risk of fire.
Affected owners are expected to be notified of the recall by mail on Feb. 21, 2023. Dealers will inspect for water intrusion, install a water drain plug and replace the fuel pump control unit if necessary for free. certain 2020-23 Lincoln Aviator and 2020-22 Lincoln Corsair vehicles equipped with a Revel audio system because when the driver's seat belt is not buckled and the vehicle is started, the seat belt warning system may activate the audible warning chime for less than four seconds.
certain 2022 Chief, Chief Bobber, Chief Bobber Darkhorse, Chief Darkhorse, Super Chief and Super Chief Limited motorcycles because the kickstand may not properly retract upon ground contact when left out while riding, failing to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard requirements. Affected owners are expected to be notified of the recall by mail on Feb. 17, 2023. A remedy for the issue is currently under development, the NHTSA says.
