A 42-year-old man accused of shooting another man near a Migrant Resource Center last Wednesday has been arrested. The San Antonio Police Department said Victor Castro-Aponte was arrested Saturday and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and failure to identify to an officer. On May 1, officers responded to a shooting in progress shortly after midnight in the 6900 block of San Pedro Avenue .

According to police, there had been a fight between Aponte and the man before the shooting occurred. Police said Aponte left the scene in a vehicle and returned later on foot with a gun. Aponte shot the man from behind and then fled the scene.
