40K local absentee voting ballots now with Comelec Eleksyon2022

However, the applications of 9,341 individuals were disapproved because they were either not registered or have been deactivated. The poll body allows government employees and officials, members of the Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines, as well as media workers, including photojournalists, documentary makers, technical and support staff, bloggers, and freelance journalists to avail of the local absentee voting.
Meanwhile, the Comelec office in Intramuros, Manila continues to receive local absentee voting ballots. These are kept in a heavily guarded room in the Comelec office, and will be opened on May 9 for canvassing.
