UPDATE: A 4-year-old boy was reportedly shot at a Katy home and rushed to a west Houston hospital Thursday night, deputies with Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies say the child was struck by gunfire at a home located in the 25000 block of Tancy Ranch Court, but officers with the Houston Police Department initially thought he was shot on the Katy Freeway in a road rage incident. Deputies said further investigation led them to believe the child was shot at the home.
The child was reportedly shot in his arm. He was transported to Texas Children’s Hospital and is in stable condition, deputies said.This is a developing story. Check back here for more updates as they become available.Moriah Ballard joined the KPRC 2 digital team in the fall of 2021.
