The Chicago Fire Department confirmed all firefighters got out of the fire. Four firefighters were taken to local hospitals, and CFD said they do not appear to be seriously injured. A neighbor said she smelled smoke when she got up to use the bathroom.
"It was everywhere; like, the whole house was in flames. The whole house," Arica Noble said."It was real scary, the only thing I did was grab my clothes and grab my coat and my boots, and I got out of the house." CFD said everyone who lived in the home has been accounted for by firefighters. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
