According to its report, one of the victims, identified as businesswoman Baby Gan Lim, was in bed on Tuesday when she heard the suspects enter her house through a sliding window. While waiting for the husband, the police report said one of the suspects took Lim’s phone and forced her to transfer ₱50,000 from her mobile wallet app. The suspects then searched the house and took ₱ 380,000 from Lim’s travel bag and ₱9,000 from her backpack.
With the ATMs in the vicinity offline, the suspects threatened to arrest the couple again if they will not send ₱ 50,000 to the suspects' mobile wallet. Before leaving, one of the suspects also took a motorcycle helmet and ₱8,000 cash inside the victim’s motorcycle compartment.
