4.3-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

BUTUAN CITY – A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental province early Thursday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.

In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the earthquake, which occurred at 2:46 a.m., was traced 269 kilometers southeast of Sarangani, Davao Occidental.The earthquake was tectonic in origin and no tsunami alert was raised by the state agency.
