CAMP Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The Police Regional Office-3 has tapped 4,000 police personnel to secure the observance of All Saints’ Day in Central Luzon.
PRO-3 chief Police Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. said 1,000 were deployed to motorist assistance centers and serve as road safety marshals on major thoroughfares and secondary roads in the region.
The rest were tasked to man police hubs and police assistance desks in cemeteries, major transport terminals, and areas of public congregation.The Department of Public Works and Highways -Region 2 has activated the “Lakbay Alalay” motorist assistance program for motorists travelling to cemeteries in the Cagayan Valley region for Undas.
DPWH-Region 2 Director Reynaldo C. Alconcel said Lakbay Alalay crew are strategically on the national highway in the region's five provinces from October 31 to November 2.
