A third person appears to have died in the Bay Area from a fallen tree during a violent storm packing gale-force winds that left widespread destruction Tuesday across the region.
the person was in a tent next to Oakland's Lake Merritt on the 500 block of Bellevue Ave. when a tree toppled on top of him at around 4:23 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.
