Chinese automaker GAC unveils its third-gen self-developed humanoid robot, showcasing motion control, navigation, and AI capabilities.
It seems like Chinese companies are on a mission in the field of robotics, with new models getting released in quick succession.
The model was released at the China Robotics Network Annual Conference held in Shanghai on December 26. At the event, GoMate showcased advanced motion control, navigation, localization, and autonomous decision-making at the event. According to the firm, with the pure-vision autonomous driving algorithm developed by GAC Group, GoMate is an excellent autonomous navigation and decision-making tool. Smooth transitions between flat and spatial intelligence are made possible by its FIGS-SLAM algorithm, and cloud-based multimodal AI models respond quickly to voice commands.
Despite their coin-like size, these small, low-voltage servo actuators—which are less than 30 mm tall—deliver 20A of drive power. The robot’s axial flux motor performs exceptionally well, reaching a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm with a torque density of 200 Nm/kg.
