A group of people thought to be migrants were brought to Dover, Kent, on board a Border Force vessel from the Channel after a small migrant boat rapidly deflated off the coast of Kent.
All 38 migrants were rescued from the water by 7.07am, with no fatalities reported, according to the Ministry of Defence . The operation involved a helicopter, a fixed-wing aircraft, a RNLI Dover lifeboat and Border Force vessel HMSThe number of people crossing the Channel in small boats this year is nearing 30,000, having already passed the total for 2021.and the UK Coastguard on a “co-ordinated response to an incident involving migrants travelling in small boats in the English Channel this morning”.
