A total of 370 residents from different barangays in Quezon City have completed the city government’s Manpower Barangay Based Skills Training Program.
Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, Social Services Development Department Officer-in-Charge Rowena Macatao, and acting SSDD-Vocational Development Division head Elma Ocrisma attended the program’s mass graduation ceremony at the Quezon City Hall on Wednesday, Dec. 21.
The trainees underwent classes in different courses such as Bread and Pastry Poduction, Hairdressing, Health Care Services Basic Automotive Servicing, Electrical Installation and Maintencance, and Dressmaking, among others. It said that the graduates received tool kits that will help in starting their businesses. They also underwent values formation and entrepreneurship seminar.
