A 37-year-old cult classic horror movie is officially receiving a reboot from director Ryan Kruger who teases even more 'melted gonzo goodness.'

The horror-comedy was directed by Jim Muro and follows a group of homeless people in Brooklyn who drink poisonous alcohol that causes their bodies to hideously melt away.

Now, over three decades after its original release, Street Trash is officially getting a reboot. Variety reports that Cineverse has acquired the North American rights to the reboot which will be helmed by Fried Barry director Ryan Kruger who teases more "melted gonzo goodness." Kruger also revealed the reboot will relocate settings and feature an even more potent message.
