WHO ยันพบ 'ไวรัสมาร์เบิร์ก' ระบาดในอิเควทอเรียลกินี เสียชีวิตแล้ว 9 ราย : อินโฟเควสท์องค์การอนามัยโลก (WHO) ได้ออกมายืนยันพบการแพร่ระบาดครั้งแรกของโรคติดเชื้อไวรัสมาร์เบิร์กซึ่งมีความเกี่ยวข้องกับเชื้อไวรัสอีโบลาในอิเควทอเรียลกินี เป็นเหตุให้มีผู้เสียชีวิตแล้วอย่างน้อย 9 ราย นพ. มาซิดีโซ โมเอติ ผู้อำนวยการองค์การอนามัยโลกประจำภูมิภาคแอฟริกากล่าวว่า “ไวรัสมาร์เบิร์กมีการแพร่ระบาดได้อย่างรวดเร็ว เป็นเพราะการตัดสินใจที่รวดเร็วและเด็ดขาดของรัฐบาลอิเควทอเรียลกินีในการยืนยันโรคและการรับมือเหตุฉุกเฉินที่สามารถดำเนินการได้อย่างรวดเร็ว ทำให้เราช่วยรักษาชีวิตคนและหยุดการแพร่ระบาดได้เร็วที่สุดเท่าที่ทำได้” WHO ระบุว่า โรคติดเชื้อไวรัสมาร์เบิร์กอยู่ในตระกูลเดียวกับเชื้อไวรัสที่ก่อให้เกิดโรคอีโบลา โดยเป็นโรคที่มีอาการรุนแรงและทำให้เกิดอาการไข้เลือดออกได้ มีอัตราการเสียชีวิตสูงถึง 88% มีจุดกำเนิดจากค้างคาวเช่นเดียวกับอีโบลาและแพร่สู่มนุษย์ผ่านการสัมผัสใกล้ชิดกับสารคัดหลั่งของผู้ติดเชื้อหรือผิวสัมผัส เช่น ผ้าปูเตียงที่มีเชื้ออยู่ ผู้ติดเชื้อไวรัสมาร์เบิร์กจะมีอาการเริ่มต้นอย่างกะทันหัน โดยมีไข้สูง ปวดหัวรุนแรง และไม่สบายอย่างรุนแรง ผู้ป่วยหลายคนมีอาการเลือดออกรุนแรงภายใน 7 วัน ขณะเดียวกัน ปัจจุบันยังไม่มีวัคซีนหรือยาตัวใดที่ได้รับอนุญาตให้ใช้รักษาโรคติดเชื้อไวรัสมาร์เบิร์ก แต่การรักษาด้วยการชดเชยน้ำเพื่อป้องกันการขาดน้ำจะช่วยบรรเทาอาการและเพิ่มโอกาสรอดชีวิตของผู้ป่วยได้ โดย สำนักข่าวอินโฟเควสท์ (15 ก.พ. 66) Facebook iconFacebookTwitter iconTwitterLINE iconLine
