Mr. Artem Bugorskiy, a Russian citizen, has been accused of throwing his 13-year-old son, D.Ch. Lucas Bugorskiy, overboard a tour boat off the coast of Phang Nga, Thailand, resulting in the boy's death.

The boat was approximately 200 meters from the archipelago of Rai-Koh Phra Thong, about 4 kilometers from the shore. During the investigation, Mr.
Bugorskiy gave inconsistent statements and claimed to have no memory of the events. Meanwhile, the body of the young boy was sent to the Forensic Science Center at Surat Thani Hospital for examination. Authorities took Mr. Bugorskiy to the Takuapa Provincial Court to face charges.According to Apinnarat and Yeoh, officials from the Kuraburi Rescue Foundation and Phetchaburi Province, they received a report of a distressed male tourist, a foreign national, who was unconscious with injuries to his arms and head. The rescue team and medical personnel provided first aid at the pier before transporting him to Kuraburi Chaiphat Hospital. Witnesses reported that there was an argument between the father and son before the incident, leading to the father allegedly throwing the son overboard. The captain and crew immediately stopped the boat and tried to rescue them. Local sources stated that the father and son had been staying in a resort and taking a boat tour of Koh Surin since November. Before the incident, they had packed their belongings and returned from the national park to the boat, allegedly ending their stay prematurely. It is believed that the motive for the tragedy was a domestic issue stemming from the father's separation from his Thai wife, the boy's mother. The incident occurred as the son was about to return to his mother.
