35% Valencia squad positive for coronavirus

VALENCIA, the first Spanish football club to report Covid-19 infections, yesterday said 35% of players and staff have tested positive for the virus. The club said the disease spread among the squad following last month’s trip to Milan, “an area confirmed as ‘high risk’ by Italian authorities days afterwards”, for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against Atalanta.
