A Taliban official says that a storm that brought heavy rainfall to eastern Afghanistan has killed at least 35 people.

He said there are women and children among those killed and injured, and that the weather had destroyed many properties and crops in different parts of the province. Aminullah Sharif, head of the regional hospital in Nangarhar, said that 207 injured people were brought in for treatment from Jalalabad, capital of the province, and nearby districts.more than 300 people
