32 Filipinos with COVID-19 in Singapore still in hospitals: envoy COVID19
MANILA - A total of 32 out of 59 Filipinos who tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 in Singapore are still in hospitals in the city-state, Philippine Ambassador Joseph Del Mar Yap said Wednesday.Some 300 displaced Filipino workers in Singapore have also managed to avail of the one-time P5,000 grant from the Department of Labor and Employment.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced Tuesday a four-week extension until June 1 of a partial lockdown to curb the spread of coronavirus infections in the city-state. The measures, which include closures of most workplaces and schools, were initially set to run from April 7 until May 4.
