Using his experience making parade floats for a living, an Indianapolis craftsman pivoted to making wagons.

Indianapolis Chinese Community Center will share their culture, including the Chinese Dragon Dance, at the 2019 IPL 500 Festival Parade.The 317 Project tells stories of life in all of Indianapolis’ vibrant neighborhoods –In 2000, a friend asked if Tony Boyle could build a horse-drawn wagon. Although he had never built one before, Boyle had experience with a similar product.

These large trailers have been shipped off to many states, including Maine, Florida and Nebraska. Boyle counted seven that are in Indiana, including one in his backyard and one in Indiana Dunes that he crafted the Some were purchased for camps for kids who are physically disabled because Boyle’s specially-built carts with ramps and lower trailer beds allow the campers to go on safe horse-drawn rides.
