30 years to life for man convicted of stabbing, killing friend in El Cajon home [Breaking]

A man convicted of killing his friend in El Cajon by stabbing and cutting him more than 100 times has been sentenced to 30 years to life in state prison.

Gustavo Rojas Salgado, 27, was convicted by an El Cajon Superior Court jury of first-degree murder in the death of 33-year-old Victor Saul Garcia Jr. The jury also found true an allegation that’s Salgado had used an knife in he attack.home by a family member on Oct. 23, 2020, according to El Cajon police, who said there appeared to be a struggle at the home, resulting in Garcia’s stabbing.
