The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Jordan Immanuel Davis of Birmingham.
Authorities have released the name of a man who was found shot to death in the middle of the street in a south Birmingham neighborhood over the weekend.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Tuesday identified the victim as Jordan Immanuel Davis. He was 30 and lived in Birmingham.Sgt. Bryan Shelton said Birmingham police officers were notified about 6:30 a.m. They arrived to find Davis unresponsive and medics pronounced him dead on the scene at 6:26 a.m.A man was found shot to death Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, in the 100 block of 24th Avenue South in Birmingham.No arrests have been made.
“Truly any homicide is a tragedy and so our hearts go out to the family,’’ Shelton said Saturday. “Our investigators will work to try to bring some closure to the family.’’ Davis is the city’s 131st homicide this year.
