Hundreds gathered to pay their respects
. The ceremony, which began at 10.45am, saw a parade of serving Armed Forces members, cadets and veterans all march towards the war memorial.Band of The Royal Engineers .
After the service, the parade departed from the memorial and marched down towards the east side closure saluting the Lord Lieutenant. Hundreds gathered to watch the event and pay their respects. Among them was Malcolm Hallam, whose family members died fighting during the First World War."We've come here for the last few years, it's important for them to take place as it's ongoing, look at what's happening now," said the 62-year-old Aspley resident."We've got to keep remembering."
