Authorities say a vehicle crashed into Elks Lodge in Apache Junction, injuring 15 people.
A car crashed into Elks Lodge in Apache Junction on the evening of Sept. 7, injuring 30 people.Authorities with the Superstition Fire and Medical District say that among the 30 people hurt, some are in serious condition but are stable.The crash happened near Lost Dutchman Boulevard and Apache Trail around 8:30 p.m."There were ten individuals transported to multiple hospitals by ambulance, while fifteen others received treatment at the scene for minor injuries.
One of the individuals is in critical, but stable condition. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this incident and wish all a speedy recovery," Apache Junction PD said.The driver of the car that crashed into the building is identified as Thomas Edward Kain, 73.Police say he got into his truck to leave when he "accidentally" drove into the building. He's accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and was arrested.
