A 3-year-old was hospitalized after being bit in the face by a dog in a Converse neighborhood, authorities said. According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, the child and their grandparents walked out of the Northeast Side home around 7 p.m. Tuesday in the 6900 block of Lunar Way when they saw two dogs on the lawn of the house across the street.

The deceased dog was not on the county's dangerous dog listing and it was up to date on its vaccinations and was microchipped, Ramos said. The other dog ran off during the shooting and has not been found, BCSO said.
