The trio of dazzling designs is showcased stunningly on three Chinese stars: supermodel He Cong, actor Sabrina Zhuang, and singer Song Yuqi., Xu is always up for a creative challenge. Her work often marries traditional Chinese elements with unusual shapes carved from plastic, metals, and other unexpected futuristic materials that challenge what we expect to see on a nail.
The Chinese Taihu Lake Stone inspired the tridimensional outline of the manicure that Beata designed for supermodel He Cong, which she wore as a part of her Vogue and Spring Festival special edition guest edit. For Xu, the point represents Chinese women’s boundless energy to break through limitations imposed on them by others.
