Bryson Barksdale was murdered in April 2023.
STARK COUNTY, Ohio - Three teenagers charged in the 2023 murder of a 35-year-old Canton man are scheduled to be arraigned in Stark County Family Court Wednesday afternoon.
Bryson Barksdale died after shots were fired into his home in the 1900 block of Otto Place N.E. around 12:30 a.m. on April 7, 2023. When officers arrived, they found the victim unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the neck and Barksdale was pronounced dead at the scene. Tracian Jones, 19, and Jerry Dotson III, 19, and a 17-year-old boy are all charged with murder, improperly discharging a firearm into a habitation, and felonious assault.“The 20 months-long investigation leading to these arrests was a collaborative effort between our Detective Bureau investigators, Special Investigations Unit and our Federal partners in the ATF and FBI,” said Canton Police Lt. Dennis Garren.
