Here's what to know from Alabama basketball's big SEC win.

was led by Latrell Wrightsell Jr., who had his best game since returning from injury with 21 points, an a 7-for-10 mark from three-point range. “Looks like he’s back,” Nate Oats said of Wrightsell’s effort.

“Let’s just keep our fingers crossed and hope he stays healthy, because this is a career-high in threes made.” Meanwhile, the Tide’s defense locked down Missouri’s offense. The Tigers gave the game away from the free-throw line, going 8-for-23.Bediako watch The most controversial player in college basketball was still playing on a temporary restraining order on Tuesday. A hearing on whether he can get an injunction to keep playing in the longer-term was scheduled for Tuesday morning, but was moved due to the NCAA’s representation being unable to attend. After he came off the bench in the first game of his second stint at Alabama, Bediako joined the starting lineup Tuesday. He surpassed his rebound total from the Tennessee game in the first half, picking up four before the break. Bediako also dunked on an alley-oop in the first, hitting all four of his free throw attempts as well to pick up six points before the break. The Canadian center finished the game with 14 points, six rebounds and a steal. He went 6-for-6 from the free throw line.“Having Charles is great,” Sherrell said. “He’s a lot. He allows me to play on the perimeter more, allows me to be able to showcase my game a lot more.”After the Crimson Tide lost to Tennessee on Saturday, Nate Oats pointed out a problem that his team needed to fix. “We’ve had a major issue with second-half starts,” Oats said that day. “And that 3-point lead, I felt like, should have been a lot bigger if we’d have taken care of a few things on the defensive end in the first half, and then all of a sudden, it disappeared immediately in the second half. They went from down three to up six pretty quick. So, we’ve gotta figure out how to have a lot better starts to the second half.” At the halftime break, Alabama led the Tigers 42-29. The Crimson Tide didn’t win the time immediately after the half, but it was certainly an improvement. Missouri outscored Alabama 10-9 leading into the under-16 timeout, with six of the Tiger points coming from T.O Barrett threes.. Not perfect, but better than the Tennessee game, when the Tide lost its lead altogether. “I thought it was better,” Oats said afterward. “I mean, if Barrett hadn’t thrown in those threes, we’d have been great... I thought our effort, our intensity, our attention to what the game plan was, was significantly better.” The start was enough, especially after Alabama really got going late in the second half. With 9:24 remaining, Dennis Gates called a timeout following a Wrightsell three that made it 69-46, and his Missouri team had no real shot at getting back into the game. The Coleman Coliseum crowd for Tuesday’s game wasn’t the largest in the building’s history. The cold-weather Tuesday night following a home loss ensured that. However, the group that did show up got to watch the Crimson Tide get back on track. Alabama had lost three in a row at Coleman, and another loss would mean a home losing streak longer than any UA had seen since Oats’ first season in charge. “It’s not for a lack of fan support that we’re not playing well,” Oats said before the game. “I think our fans have been great. Student section’s packed. We got to play better. We got to lock into the defensive end. We’re not consistent with our defensive focus and effort. Offensively, we’ve gone through too many dry spells.” Missouri isn’t anywhere near the best team in the SEC. Still, the victory got Alabama some much-needed momentum entering a tough stretch of schedule. Next up, Alabama heads to Florida on Sunday, before returning to Coleman for a matchup with Texas A&M, then making the trip to Auburn for the Iron Bowl of Basketball.Matt Stahl covers University of Alabama sports for AL.com.
