3 more charged with falsifying Penjana Kerjaya claims
THREE more people were charged in three Sessions Courts in Kuala Lumpur today with submitting false documents to the Social Security Organisation to claim incentives under the Penjana Kerjaya 2.0 programme amounting to RM123,100.At today’s proceeding, insurance agent Isa Mohd Ismail, 28, and housewife Mazlina Ali, 45, pleaded not guilty to their respective charge before judge Azura Alwi.
They were charged with intending to deceive Socso by submitting documents containing false statements as the list of employees named in the documents were not workers of the two companies. The charges were framed under section 18 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 and punishable under section 24 of the same law, which provides for imprisonment for up to 20 years and a fine not less than five times the value of the subject matter of the offence or RM10,000, whichever is higher, if convicted.
