The 3 people killed in a firefighting helicopter crash in Riverside County have been identified.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. — Two firefighting helicopters collided while responding to the Broadway Fire in Riverside County Sunday night, killing three people aboard one of the aircraft.
Fulcher said the accident involved a huge Sikorsky S-64E and a smaller Bell 407. The larger Sikorsky landed safely. No one on the ground was injured in the incident. The victims were Cal Fire Assistant Chief Josh Bischof, Cal Fire Capt. Tim Rodriguez, and contract pilot Tony Sousa, the firefighting agency said.
