HURON COUNTY , Ohio - The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that injured three people Saturday night. According to an OSHP release, troopers responded to the intersection of State Route 60 and State Route 303 in Wakeman Township around 7:25 p.
m. for a car crash with serious injuries. A black 2015 Ford Expedition traveling eastbound on State Route 303 failed to yield to a stop sign and struck a 2012 Toyota Corolla traveling southbound on State Route 60. The Ford Expedition veered off the road and struck a tree, and the Toyota Corolla travelled off the road, striking a bush and a chicken coop, according to the release. The driver and passenger of the Ford Expedition were minorly injured and EMS transported them to Fisher Titus Hospital. The driver of the Toyota Corolla suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital and later flown to the Cleveland Metro Hospital.Charges have not been filed, and the crash remains under investigation. The OSHP was assisted by the Wakeman Fire Department, Citizen Ambulance, Wakeman Police Department, Huron County Sheriff’s Office, Wilcox Garage and Interstate Towing.the
