According to police, some cars driving “recklessly ... revving engines, and skidding tires,' at the unsanctioned rally.
Citing a police report, the Inquirer said about 150 to 200 cars were in the parking lot of the Willow Grove Park Mall in Willow Grove around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, with some cars driving “recklessly ... revving engines, and skidding tires.”
Not long after, police responded to a call about an accident near Old Welsh and Fitzwatertown roads, northwest of the mall. The driver and front-seat passenger had to be extricated from the car by emergency responders, while a backseat passenger was ejected from the vehicle. All three occupants were taken to Jefferson Abington Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
