A Cuyahoga County grand jury has returned an indictment charging three people with attempted murder charges for shooting at police officers in Cleveland.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -

Police said on Oct. 28, Ray Agosto, 32-year-old Wayne Agosto, 25-year-old Dakota Greene, and 31-year-old Dylan Mitchell were near Denison Avenue and West 31st Street in Cleveland when CPD officers who were already in the area looking for 39-year-old Ray Agosto for an incident involving his downstairs neighbors days before.

According to police, Wayne Agosto fired multiple times at the officers and the officers returned fire. Ray Agosto and Dakota Greene fled the scene. Wayne Agosto and Dylan Mitchell were arrested on scene.“I am thankful the Cleveland officers were not injured while trying to apprehend Ray Agosto,” said Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley. “These violent gun-toting predators have no care in the world for our community and I am glad they are off our streets.

Police said Ray Agosto approached the neighbors again on Oct. 28 saying he he forgot his keys. When she opened the door, Agosto had a gun in his hand and a knife on him. He attempted to punch her in the face but hit the wall. The victim’s husband heard Agosto and shut the front door. Agosto fled the scene.

Later the same day, Ray Agosto, Wayne Agosto, Dakota Greene, and Dylan Mitchell were near Denison Avenue and West 31st Street in Cleveland. CDP officers were already in that area actively searching for Ray Agosto regarding the above incidents. Wayne Agosto then fired multiple times at the officers and the officers returned fire. Ray Agosto and Dakota Greene then fled the scene.
