Three people were killed overnight Thursday when their car crashed into a tree in Dauphin County after they fled from police officers who were trying to pull them over, authorities said.
Pennsylvania State Police said troopers tried to stop the vehicle for traffic violations around 1:35 a.m. The driver did not stop and a chase ensued, state police said. Troopers lost sight of the car on I-81 north, near exit 72A in Lower Paxton Township. After canvassing the area, state police said the car was found on North Mountain Road, at the I-81 overpass in Lower Paxton. Three people were found dead inside.
